Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Ballerina Pose (“we”, “us”, the “Site”) collects when you visit ballerinapose.art, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little personal data as possible.
Who we are
The Site is a non-commercial photo gallery of ballet photography, organised by ballerina and photographer. For any privacy question or request you can reach us at privacy@ballerinapose.art.
What we collect
- Account data. If you create an account, we store your email address. You can sign in without a password (a one-time code or link we email you) or with Google or Facebook — in which case we receive only your email address and basic profile from that provider. If you set a password, it is stored securely hashed (never plain-text).
- Your contributions. Photo ratings and suggested name corrections you submit are linked to your account so you can rate once per photo and so moderators can review suggestions.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested pages, timestamps) are recorded for security and to diagnose problems. These logs are kept for a limited time.
- Analytics data. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate, anonymous usage (which pages are popular, rough visitor counts). See our Cookie Policy.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data, we do not show advertising, and we do not use your data to build a profile of you. We only process what is needed to run the Site.
Legal basis
Account and contribution data are processed to provide the service you asked for. Analytics cookies are set only on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see the Cookie Policy).
Sharing
We share data only with the providers needed to operate the Site: our hosting provider, and — if you consent — Google (Google Analytics). We do not share your data with anyone else.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR), you may request access to, or correction or deletion of, your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@ballerinapose.art. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. See Data deletion for how to remove your account and all associated data.
Photography
If you are a photographer or a subject in a photo and would like an image attributed differently or removed, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
